During my tenure as an English teacher, I discovered my passion for research-driven instructional practices and sought opportunities for collaboration and innovation. My educational philosophy is rooted in the idea that students learn best when learning opportunities align with their abilities, experiences, and interests. As the Supervisor of Humanities, I intend to enrich our curriculum and instruction to reflect the ever-changing identities of our students. Through collaboration with the English and Social Studies teachers, I will ensure that students have multiple and varied opportunities to study the human condition from a critical perspective, preparing them to lead deeply empathetic and politically active lives.
